03.05.2009: New mount
Insert the new mount. You may need to pump the jack up some more and rock the engine back and forth to get the mount to seat properly.

Transmission mount replacement on a 1999 Saab 9-5.

Tools:

  • 18 mm socket (upper nut);
  • 13 mm socket (battery clamps, mount bolt);
  • 13 mm wrench (mount bolt);
  • 12 mm socket (battery bracket);
  • 10 mm socket (battery support);
  • Torx T40 socket (index screw);
  • socket extension;
  • torque wrench;
  • hydraulic jack.
