11.05.2007: Dashboard |
The only tool needed for the dash removal is a Torx T25 screwdriver from
the toolbox in the trunk.

11.05.2007: Steering column cover screw |
Turn the steering wheel to the left and undo the screw in the steering
column cover.

11.05.2007: Steering column cover screw |
Undo another screw on the right of the steering wheel, and then a third
at the bottom of the cover.

Pull the two halves of the cover off.
|
|
11.05.2007: Turn signal stalk |
Unlatch the turn signal stalk. Unplug the connector and remove the stalk.

11.05.2007: Right side |
Move to the right side and remove the windshield wiper stalk.

|
11.05.2007: Stereo |
Insert the stereo removal tool (or knitting needles, or whatever you have)
and pull the stereo out.

11.05.2007: SID and A/C panel |
Push the SID out from behind and unplug the connector. Do the same with the
climate control panel.

|
11.05.2007: Stereo cage |
Pull the stereo mounting cage and detach the wires from the back of it.

|
11.05.2007: Hazard switch |
Remove the hazard light switch.
|
|
11.05.2007: Right side screws |
Undo four screws holding the dash panel.
|
|
11.05.2007: Left side |
Move over to the left side and remove all the switches - they just pop out.
|
|
11.05.2007: Left side screws |
Undo two more screws in the headlight switch socket.
|
|
11.05.2007: Panel out |
Remove the panel by carefully prying it out along the perimeter.

|
11.05.2007: Instrument cluster |
Unscrew the instrument cluster.
|
|
11.05.2007: Connectors |
Pull the cluster out and disconnect the wires.
|
|
11.05.2007: Back side |
The back cover of the instrument cluster is held by eight Phillips
screws.

|
11.05.2007: Cover off |
Take the cover off, then unplug the ribbon cable on the top of the unit.
|
|
11.05.2007: Circuit board |
Swing the upper circuit board down, and you get to the light bulbs. They
are all labeled and easy to locate.

11.05.2007: Installation |
Installation is the reverse of removal, naturally.
